Currently been spending the past few nights playing around with
Blender, and watching some excellent video tutorials found at
blenderunderground. There are also heaps of tutorials, forums and articles to help you along, not just at blenderunderground, but at other places as well.
Blender is such an amazing tool, that once you get past the interface it is quite powerful with what it can do. It is a 3D modeling application, it is model animator, it can create movies, it has a built in game engine with physics. There is so much stuff this application can do, just look at the feature list is enough. Best of all, it is all open source and free to use.
When I come up with something half decent (anything more than a cube) I might post up some of my resulting images.
Hey everyone,
Yeah, it has been a while between posts. I had intended on posting at least something up every day, but with family down from North Queensland it becomes a little hard to find time away to post something up.
After this weekend they are heading home, so some of my aquarium plans might start happening. I can’t wait.
I won an ebay auction today, and pick up an iMac for myself.

It’s a G3, 450Mhz, 256M memory iMac. Not the latest or greatest, but for $80 I’m not complaining either.
Why would I want an iMac? Well, why not. I’m keen to see the difference between the Mac’s and Windows. I haven’t been impressed with Vista so far and I like to keep my options opened.
I’ll most likely end up using it for development work, as well as playing around with Inform7, maybe even run BlitzMax on it as well. I’m sure there are many other users I can find for it as time goes on.
As a reward for doing a massive cleanup, I went out and got myself some new toys.
A logitech wireless mouse and keyboard and a DLink wireless network card. Wireless all the way now! (just need wireless power and monitor cables *grin*).
It is amazing how much space it has saved with less cables, and on my desk space is a premium. I really do like these wave keyboards, much more comfortable on the hands, and being cordless I can sit back in my chair with the keyboard on my lap as I type this out. I’m sure it isn’t good for my posture though
Should beĀ plenty of room now for the cat to lie down next to my keyboard. I really should take a photo next time she does it as it is rather cute.
